Saw Trampled by Turtles last week at the 9:30 Club. They put on an amazing show and started with the first on on their latest album Wild Animals, a slow and moody track. The entire album is amazing.
Midway through the show the fiddler was tuning between songs. He played four notes which sounded like the theme song from Indiana Jones. Needless to say it did not go unnoticed by the crowd. The fiddler stepped up to a mic and said “so, you guys wanna sing the Indian Jones theme song?” He played and we hummed,
The Turtles ended the show with a cover of Hallelujah, which the entire audience sang along to. It was an eerie and beautiful moment, when everyone knows a heartbreaking song.
I realize it’s not a Monday but days of the week are all relative, aren’t they?
