Monticello

When last the sun was shining, the sun warm, the breeze cool and fragrant, I went down to Monticello with my good friend from graduate school. Neither of us had been to Thomas Jefferson’s home before. The house, a mansion really, sits on the top of a hill. Virginia’s trees in autumn are dressed in burnt orange and creamy golden leaves, in October they have not yet begun to fall from the limbs.

Check out my pictures from the day here.
